Saturday, October 14 | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Live presentations at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Join us for a live viewing of the first annular “ring of fire” eclipse in 11 years at the Sweetman Planetarium!
During an annular solar eclipse, the moon moves between the sun and Earth at its farthest distance from our planet. As a result of the moon's distance from Earth, it appears smaller than the sun, and therefore, does not fully cover it. This produces a stunning "ring of fire" effect in the sky.
